	Riverside Elementary School Welcome to our school! Only a community can define a great school. At Riverside our mission statement, “Caring to Learn…Learning to Care” emphasizes the educational opportunities for students to excel in academics, the arts, physical education, social experiences, and community service. It is with the cooperation of students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school employees that our mission is accomplished. The Riverside community provides a rich, diverse learning environment where we feel good about ourselves and are challenged to be our very best in all ways. Acting responsibly, feeling respected, and being safe are important components within our school. We are proud of our students’ accomplishments, and appreciate the support we receive from parents and the community. Additionally, Riverside School is fortunate to have a staff dedicated to providing children with meaningful learning experiences, which leads to a solid educational foundation. Riverside School is comprised of approximately 600 students and 65 plus staff members. Students in kindergarten through sixth grade attend our school. In addition, we have a Specialized Learning Center, and the Excel Program for special needs students.
